Tehuacana Heritage Festival

This is a past event.

Saturday, October 5

Greetings from Tehuacana, Texas, original site of Trinity University, now located in San Antonio. Founded in 1869 , Trinity University remained in Limestone County for 33 years. Now, 150 years later, the current Trinity University is celebrating its long history of higher education in Central Texas. Together with the Limestone County Historical Commission, Tehuacana, its churches and cemetery, and the Trinity Arts Institute is excited to host an exhibition & historic symposium featuring the impact this institution of learning had on this area. In response to this anniversary, we have formed the Tehuacana Heritage Festival, celebrating the 150 years of higher education that began in Limestone County. Please join us in continuing Trinity University's 150th celebration at the Tehuacana Heritage Festival. Over the weekend you will experience our history through music, food, and live reenactments.
