Lecture title: "The Life of a Dancer, the Work of a Choreographer"

Daniel Gold is a nationally recognized choreographer, performer, and teacher based in New York City. As a performer, he has appeared in national tours of Miss Saigon and Beauty and the Beast as well as regional theatres including American Repertory Theatre, North Shore Music Theatre, and Theatre by the Sea, among others.

His work as a choreographer includes the US Regional Premiere of The Bodyguard, as well as regional productions of Young Frankenstein, A Year with Frog and Toad, and High School Musical.

Daniel is on the faculty of several prestigious dance studios including Broadway Dance Center and STEPS on Broadway. Daniel began an arts initiative, Leg Up On Life, that brings together artists of all areas to create benefit performances for different non-profits that give back to our communities (including The Trevor Project and ART/PACT).

Daniel will discuss his career and work as a performer, his approach to choreographing musical theatre, and the important role teaching and using his art to give back to his community plays in his life and work.
