The Department of Art and Art History presents Eight Confessions, an exhibition of work by eight senior art majors: Magdalen Cheatham, Liz Day, Anna Laflin, Beverly Morabito, Delfina Morales, Julia Poage, Danielle Trevino, and Abigail Wharton. Using ceramics, photography, plaster, oil paint and colored pencil, the artists convey their thoughts on politics, family history, self-growth and personal history. The exhibition title, Eight Confessions, captures the beauty and individuality of each project, all of which stem from the artists’ distinct backgrounds, disciplines, materials and emotions. The artists work with a variety of materials and messages, but are united in their desire to create. An opening reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25, in the Dicke Art Building foyer. The exhibition runs through Saturday, May 18, in the Michael and Noémi Neidorff Art Gallery. Gallery hours are 1 to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, and by appointment. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
