StepHealthy Day is a free family event in which participants will learn the benefits of exercise and how to choose healthy foods to maintain and improve their health. The program will also have the added benefit of teaching residents how to use the park grounds to facilitate greater utilization of community cohesion. Our partners at Wesley Community Center are happy to have Trinity University alumni and families join their efforts for Saturday, February 15 at Castillo Park. This is an outdoor event, so we ask that all volunteers wear proper attire. Volunteer groups will commit to three hours of service which start at 9 a.m. and conclude at 12 p.m. Volunteers will be divided into three groups: Registration, Food Distribution, and Crowd Control. We do not have an age requirement for volunteers; however, we do ask that minors be accompanied by their parental guardian.
Refreshments and snacks for our volunteers are provided.
