DESCRIPTION:Flora Cameron Lecture on Politics and Public Affairs\n\nTrinity
University will welcome Adam Grant for the 2026 Flora Cameron Lecture on P
olitics and Public Affairs to discuss “Think Again: The Power of Knowing Wh
at You Don’t Know” on Wednesday\, March 25\, at 7:30 p.m. in Laurie Auditor
ium.\n\nMany visions\, strategies\, and best practices were created in a wo
rld that no longer exists. The faster our environment changes\, the more cr
itical it becomes to rethink our assumptions. Organizational psychologist A
dam Grant finds that the very skills that make us good at thinking and lear
ning can make us worse at rethinking and unlearning. Building on his No. 1
New York Times bestselling book\, Think Again (called “brilliant” by Nobel
Prize winner Daniel Kahneman)\, Adam examines how we can update our own opi
nions\, open other people’s minds\, and build a learning organization in wh
ich people know what they don’t know and are eager to improve on the status
quo. His eye-opening evidence and entertaining delivery will leave you det
ermined to never again say “that’s the way we’ve always done it.”\n\nRegist
ration is free and open to the public but required for entry. Please regist
er here.\n\nAs the youngest tenured professor in the history of the Wharton
School\, Grant has spent his career studying motivation\, generosity\, cre
ativity\, and the science of rethinking. He is the author of six No. 1 New
York Times bestsellers: Hidden Potential\, Think Again\, Give and Take\, Or
iginals\, Option B\, and Power Moves\, which have sold millions of copies a
nd been translated into 45 languages. He is also the host of two widely acc
laimed TED podcasts\, Re:Thinking and WorkLife\, which together have surpas
sed 90 million downloads. His TED Talks on original thinkers\, givers and t
akers\, and the psychology of languishing have garnered more than 35 millio
n views\, and his 2021 New York Times article on “languishing” was the publ
ication’s most-read piece of the year.\n\nThe Flora Cameron Lecture on Poli
tics and Public Affairs is made possible by an endowment gift from the Flor
a Cameron Foundation and Mrs. Flora C. Crichton. This lecture brings world
leaders\, heads of state\, and politicians to Trinity to discuss their care
ers\, historic events\, and the modern political climate. Grant’s lecture o
n “Think Again: The Power of Knowing What You Don’t Know” is also a part of
The Conversation at Trinity\, an initiative to promote constructive dialog
 ue on campus.
