Dr. Angela Speck is a Professor of Astrophysics and a Department Chair at UTSA. A popular science communicator, she researches infrared astronomy and space dust. She has also co-chaired the total Solar Eclipse Task Force. A self-described “empress of the eclipse,” she will discuss the science of eclipses as well as other astronomical phenomena. Doors are open at 6:30 and the lecture begins at 7:00PM
