The Distinguished Lecture Series is made possible through the generosity of the Walter F. Brown Family of San Antonio. This series brings some of our time's most influential leaders, pioneers, and thinkers to Trinity to share their personal journeys and provide insight into their life’s work. Trinity University will welcome Michael Steele and Paul Begala as the 2024-2025 Distinguished Lecturer on Thursday, October 10, 2024, @ 7:30 p.m. in the Laurie Auditorium. In a moderated conversation with David Lesch, Ph.D., speakers will share their views on the Future of American Political Leadership: Navigating Partisanship and Promoting Unity. 

Paul Begala, a seasoned Democratic political consultant and commentator, and Michael Steele, the former Chairman of the Republican National Committee and a prominent political analyst. They will delve into the dynamic changes in American politics, discussing the challenges and opportunities facing both major parties. The conversation will cover the impact of current events and explore how future political leaders can address the challenges of increasing partisanship, fostering a sense of unity and cooperation in American politics.
