Julia Barbosa Landois will discuss the project Weed is a Word, opening at Ruby City this fall, as part of her larger artistic practice in video, installation, and performance.

Weed is a Word employs a garden of wild plants, a free zine, and a community event to promote dialogues addressing belonging and exclusion in the human and more than human spheres. This project continues a decade of work about ecological distress, the beyond human-centered biases.
