Join us on Thursday, April 10, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in Dicke Hall 108 for a conversation with Robert Faruq Wideman. After serving 44 years in a Pennsylvania prison, Faruq was released in 2019. While incarcerated, he co-authored Brothers and Keepers with his brother, acclaimed writer John Edgar Wideman. Since his release, he has worked to uplift and support formerly incarcerated communities. Professors Juyoun Jang and Kelly Carlisle will facilitate the conversation.
