"Existing Somewhere Between Physics and Magic"
Bret Price is a contemporary sculptor interested in the challenges of raw material against the forces of nature. Whether the work is large or small, Price’s focus is to convey an unexpected sense of movement and balance. His large sculpture, Rapture, greets visitors outside Trinity University's Laurie Auditorium. Price has been collected into public and private collections throughout the United States, Europe and Asia, notably the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Pepsico Collection in New York.
This Stieren exhibition is a cornerstone of the Trinity University Festival of the Arts (TUFA), and highlighted during Alumni Weekend.
