ASIANetwork, consortium for education about Asia in the liberal arts, is delighted to hold its 32nd annual conference at Trinity University, March 28-30, 2025. The annual conference draws teacher-scholars and their students in a 3-day weekend of intensive exchange and collaboration in pedagogy, research, and skills development.
The 2025 ASIANetwork Conference centers on the theme of interconnectedness across scholarship, religion, ecology, education, science, and activism in and beyond Asia. "Asian Interconnections" fosters inspiring and thought-provoking conversations on interdisciplinary Asia, bridging Asian Studies and AAPI Studies. The conference also invites participants to reflect on pressing global issues, including climate change, structural racism, and geopolitical tensions.
With panels on Global Asia, Asian and Latino Intersections, Asian Diasporas, Blackness in Asian Studies, Interconnected Diversity, and more, this year’s conference highlights ongoing efforts to integrate, engage, and enhance the study of Asia within and beyond the curriculum. The emphasis on interconnection underscores our collective commitment to broadening perspectives and fostering meaningful dialogue. On behalf of the program committee, ASIANetwork Board Chair Dennis Frost, and our Executive Director, Dan Choffnes, we welcome you to an enriching and productive conference experience!
